Associate Engineer

Reporting to the General Manager and Engineering Program Manager, this full-time position is designed for a new or relatively inexperienced engineer/technical person. This position will work closely with the engineering team, manufacturing operations, production personnel, sales, and purchasing. A key focus will be in the area of producing product design drawings and working with the manufacturing floor on tooling and productivity enhancements.

Education, Experience, Skills and Abilities Required for Consideration as a Candidate:

  • Associates Degree in an Engineering or related technical discipline.
  • Competence in SolidWorks.
  • Good understanding of drafting and geometric dimensional tolerancing.
  • Good mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to use a variety of software applications (MS Office, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Articulate, well organized and self-motivated.

Machinist

Crafts Technology is looking to hire an individual that has the drive and ability to become an expert machinist within our industry. With this drive Crafts will provide all the necessary teaching and instruction to become an expert within our field in terms of manufacturing.

The variety of parts Crafts produces allows for a multitude of learning opportunities.
All we need is the right person to come on and want to obtain this knowledge.

The following is required by the applicant:

  1. High school diploma
  2. High marks in math
  3. 1-3 years of work experience (Does not have to be manufacturing related, but would be a plus)
  4. A strong drive to learn
  5. Fluent in English

Crafts Overview

A general overview of Crafts Technology is that we design and manufacture specialized products utilizing hard materials to produce wear parts, components, and custom tooling. Products are made from specific grades of Tungsten Carbide, Advanced Ceramics or Polycrystalline Diamond. The selected material offers excellent wear properties, corrosion resistance and thermal conductivity.

What this all means is that Crafts produces parts for a large variety of industries that are all over the world. Majority of the parts produced are used on assembly lines as tooling used to make consumer products that you probably use on a daily basis. We would work with this individual to gain knowledge on the following:

  1. Blueprint Reading (Drafting)
  2. Material Science
  3. Grinding - Manufacturing
  4. EDM (Electrical Discharge Machining) – Manufacturing
  5. Inspection Equipment
  6. Brazing
  7. General Machining (Lathe/Mill)
